It’s that weekend that football junkies, TV commercial lovers and chicken wing producers wait anxiously for every year: The dawning of Super Bowl Sunday. Super Bowl XLIV will be played in Miami, and for the first timein years, the two very best teams all year will vie for the NFL crown. Sounds like the recipe for a great game! (Whooooo dat? Oops, my Saints bias acted up again; sorry, y’all.)
Since those of you on the East Coast are preparing for a good ol’ fashioned snowstorm blowing in on Friday night, it’s fortunate that there’s a lot to choose from on TV this weekend. Here’s what's on deck for you to enjoy.

“SOS: Saving Ourselves Help for Haiti Telethon,” on BET, MTV and VH-1, 8 p.m.
Diddy, Queen Latifah and Pharrell Williams co-host this telethon to raise money for earthquake victims in Haiti. The aftershocks have stopped, but they still need our help. Live from the Miami Arena, performers include Wyclef, Mary J. Blige, Justin Bieber and Robin Thicke.

"Rock Docs: Soul Train, The Hippest Trip In America" on VH-1, 9:30 p.m.
A documentary about the cultural impact of “Soul Train,” the longest-running syndicated show on television. The 90-minute film features clips from the legendary show and interviews with - of course - host-with-the-most Don Cornelius and recording artists that include Patti Labelle, Snoop Dogg and Smokey Robinson, who pay tribute to one of music’s most enduring franchises.
