Troubleshooting Tips for Login/Registration on BlackAmericaWeb.com

Am I logged in?
To determine if you are logged in, go to the homepage. (
http://www.blackamericaweb.com) If you are logged in, you should see “Welcome, #your username#” located in the top right area of the page and below the top advertisement banner.  If you are not logged in, a username and password field will be displayed for you to login.

How do I login?
In order to ensure you can correctly login to the site, you need to delete your cookies.  To delete your cookies in Internet Explorer: click on “Tools”, click “Internet Options”, and click the “Delete Cookies” button.  Click “Ok”.

Go to BlackAmericaWeb.com (http://www.blackamericaweb.com).  If you are already at the homepage, please make sure to refresh the homepage.  You should now be able to enter your username and password in the fields located in the top right area of the page and below the top advertisement banner.  Type in your username and password in the fields and click the “Login” button.  Once logged in you should see “Welcome, #your username#” where the username and password fields used to be.  If you see the welcome message, you are logged in.

My Username/Password does not work
There can be several reasons for this:

1. Your username/password contains special characters or spaces.
2. Your password is less than 6 characters
3. Your email address is your username

To change your password, go to the Member Center (http://insite.blackamericaweb.com/registration/login/membercenter/)
From the Member Center page, click on the link for “Change your password” and follow the instructions for changing your password.

If you suspect your username falls into 1 or 3, please email us at customerservice@blackamericaweb.com with the subject line “Username Change Request”
Make sure to include your first name, last name, username, password, the email address you used when registering with the site, and a daytime phone number.  We will do our best to change your username to closely match the original.  We will then email you your new username.

I re-registered with the site, but it says “You are already registered.”
In this case, you must either use a different email address when registering again or you must first delete your old account.  To delete your old account go to the Member Center (
http://insite.blackamericaweb.com/registration/login/membercenter/)
From the Member Center page, click on the link for “How to delete your account” and follow the instructions for deleting your account.
